The Department of National Museums provides high-quality digital photographs of selected museum artifacts and specimens for approved academic, educational, research, documentation, publication, institutional, and limited personal purposes. All requests are subject to review and approval in accordance with the Department's guidelines.

The Colombo National Museum Auditorium is available for educational, cultural, academic, and public programmes that are compatible with the mission and values of the Department of National Museums. Applicants are requested to submit their reservation request by completing the application form. Reservations are subject to availability and approval by the Department.

Application for Permission to Use National Museum Premises (Approval will not be granted for political programs). Reservations must be made at least 05 days prior to the date of the scheduled program. Reservations can be made at the Head Office of the Department of National Museums on working days of the week from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.
